Once Upon a Time

Acrylic on Canvas

24” x 36”

My art has been strolling behind me like a patient shadow all my life. Now, I turn around to embrace it, to illuminate and discover the corners of my creativity.

I have worked in pencil and inks, charcoal, clay, soapstone, fabric and currently embrace oil, acrylic and watercolour painting. My photographs collected while travelling, in particular during trips across my country of Canada, to Europe, Mexico and the Caribbean, ignite sparks of enthusiastic memory from which I work. Intermingled are everyday glimpses of family moments. Above all, whether I create a landscape or a figurative piece, I hunger to capture a particular mood or emotion in my work.

My early art education was received from the late Vivian Antoniw and Martin Honisch in Kitimat, BC.  I have studied under Carol Wylie, Leslie Potter, Roger Trottier, Jacob Semko, Iris Hauser and Kelly Goerzen while taking my Certificate of Art and Design through the USCAD Program, University of Saskatchewan, Saskatoon, SK, Canada.

My art lives in private collections in Canada and the USA. My works for sale are displayed exclusively year-round at Mabel Hill Farm Kitchen and Marketplace, Nipawin, Saskatchewan. Special thanks to Chef Michael Brownlee for his support.

I paint from my home studio and I am a member of the 10th Street Atelier, Saskatoon, SK, where Iris Hauser continues to provide me with her valuable mentorship.

Thank you for your visit!
